Of course these will do good against these bases because level 5 balloons are just good enough to take out these bases. If you put them against a mid level th 9 they would get destroyed. I understand that with farming with balloons is a whole different story but you would only get up to 2300-2400 with trophy pushing with loons.

Along with my new Capital Peak layout here I have a new Balloon Lagoon Level 5 layout designed as well. Major Defenses well separated from each other so makes the attacker's job harder. A lot of double-tile gaps between compartments and defenses. A maze type of wall placement on a single inferno just to make attacker pathing a bit messy.

I have level 5 balloons and level 2 minions that will be level three in two days. I've been trying anywhere from 16-28 balloons with the rest minions for the past few weeks, thinking this would be a good strategy for war and for attacking harder bases. I haven't been having much luck, just getting 1-2 stars consistently unless it's a horrible base.

Very rarely would I suggest balloonion over Dragons for war at any TH level, certain targets can warrant it if the base layout is conducive.

Lvl5 wizards are amazing. I like balloons but only after destroying archer towers, wizard towers, and other air defenses. Since you don't use either, upgrade the wizards. Wizards are preferred over balloons for donations generally. Level 5 Wizards do more damage than a Level 2 Dragon, yet take up only 1/5 of the space.
